Mondays, March 30 – June 15

Ages 6–9: 5:30–6:30 PM
Ages 10–14: 7:00–8:00 PM

Our 12-week After-School Bushcraft Program gives children and youth the chance to build confidence, strengthen outdoor skills, and connect with nature through play, exploration, and teamwork.

Each week introduces a new bushcraft skill such as:

  • Fire awareness & safety

  • Shelter building

  • Knife safety & whittling

  • Navigation & compass skills

  • Plant and tree identification

  • Knot tying & cordage making

  • Basic first aid & a guided medicine walk

  • Sit spots & nature observation

  • Backpack building and gear prep

  • Final-week survival scenarios

Children take home:

  • Weekly skill instructions,

  • A completion certificate,

  • Bushcraft materials (flint & steel, cordage, twine, waterproof notepad, etc.)

Throughout the program, children also naturally learn about wildlife tracking, safe outdoor cooking, responsibility, and awareness on the land.

This program is designed to:

  • Build independence and resilience

  • Encourage play over screens

  • Strengthen problem-solving and teamwork

  • Support a lifelong connection to nature

  • Help children feel confident playing outside in all seasons

Drop-off/pick-up windows allow time for connection and questions.
