Summer Forest School!
Out and About offers an educational and play-based learning environment that is unique every single day.

Monday- Friday
9am - 3pm
Ages: 4-11

Optional Before/ Aftercare 8:30-9 / 3-4pm $100.00/week (limited spaces available) or $25/day

The dedicated time and space we provide serve as a nurturing ground for children to develop self-resiliency, self-assurance, and a profound connection with nature.

Children will be exposed to experienced guests, learn new wilderness skills, play nature games, and more. Children will leave with a sense of accomplishment, self-confidence and resilience, life-long friendships, and a deep connection to nature.

Children will develop:

  • Theoretical knowledge such as biology, and practical skills including:

  • Risk assessment

  • Survival techniques

  • Effective problem-solving

    These skills will seamlessly integrate into their everyday lives!

Program Highlights

  • Curiosity-led exploration outdoors with learning opportunities introduced naturally

  • Nature-based games, stories, projects, and challenges to inspire connection to place related to the daily curriculum theme 

  • Mentoring delivered by experienced instructors to support students developing problem-solving skills, self-sufficiency, and a deeper level of learning

  • High adult to child ratio (1:7) and primarily small group adventures

  • Emphasis on emotional awareness, compassion, and gratitude

Educators, facilitators, and esteemed guests will extend invitations and pose intriguing inquiries, fostering a platform for children to expand their knowledge, enhance preparedness, and cultivate essential outdoor skills.

I am thrilled to welcome these experts into our space, where their valuable insights will undoubtedly elevate the learning experience.

Program Information

Session Dates:

Monday, July 22nd- Friday, July 26th

9am-3pm

*Children must be independently toileting

*Taxes exempt

Location:

  • 503 Rafting Road, Forester Falls, ON

  • DIRECTIONS HERE

  • Drop off at Pavilion (“Wedding Pavilion”)

*Early drop off is available. Email outandaboutinnature@gmail.com for inquiries.

*Prices are 0.00 on website and you will be sent an invoice for the price. This is to avoid expensive website fees at this time.

Refund policy

Out and About summer program weeks are nonrefundable. An exception is made when we are able to fill the canceled space, and registrants will only receive a refund for the program, not the admin. Upon filling the space we'll send the partial refund. Filling spaces takes time and we're busy in the program so we appreciate as much time as possible.

This program is opted to be canceled if spots are not filled.
