Time: 9:30am-12:30pm

PROGRAM COST: $365 (taxes included) ($23/day)
*+$5 for extra sibling over 18months
*There is no extra cost for children under 18 months.

Program Information

Thursdays +
1 Saturday (Family Play Day and Gathering)

  • First Day: September 18th

  • Last Day: December 4th

  • Saturday Play Date: October 25th

    *Participants must be accompanied by a family member, trusted adults, or caregiver.

Location:

  • 503 Rafting Road, Forester Falls, ON (<—Directions here)

Birch and Bud: A Nature-Infused Family Adventure

The Birch and Bud Program is a joyful, nature-based experience designed for families and their young children to connect, grow, and explore together. Birch & Bud is learning for Caregivers too!

Rooted in outdoor play and community connection, this program creates a welcoming space for parents, caregivers, grandparents, and trusted grownups to share in their child’s early learning journey.

In this supportive environment, families engage in meaningful play, develop early independence skills, and build resilience — in all weather and through big emotions.

It’s also a natural stepping stone to the Fox Program, offering younger children a gentle introduction to the routines and rhythms of nature-based learning.

Program Highlights:

  • Outdoor adventures designed for both children and their grownups

  • Strengthens bonds through shared experiences in nature

  • Encourages joy, curiosity, and wonder for all ages

🧠 Skill Building for Little Explorers

  • Gentle encouragement for children on their toileting journey

💚 Emotional Resilience in Nature

  • Learn to navigate big feelings through grounding activities and connection

🌦 All-Weather Adventures

  • Experience the beauty and lessons of every season

    • Foster relationships between families and Out and About: You know them best! I encourage you to share any and all observations as well as communication strategies that benefit your child(ren) needs in order for us to provide a safe, welcoming, and developing environment.

    • Connect with the enchanting world of nature by asking questions, exploring ideas, following interests, and observing play.

    • Learning more about the land, becoming advocates, and embracing the beauty that surrounds us.
